Hello readers, I hope you are doing great. A happy new month, I am grateful to God for keeping us alive, and may he continue to keep us safe.

The Holy Spirit has been teaching me through his servants about the importance of being a faithful child of God. Throughout the scriptures, we see that Jesus carried out his duties faithfully to God, his father. That is why he told his disciples that he was concerned about doing the will of his Father that sent him. The parable of the servants in Matthew 25 v14 reveals that we are called to profit the kingdom of God. The master in the parable gave his three servants talents according to their abilities, he gave them 5, 2, and 1 respectively.

Matthew 25 v 14“Again, it will be like a man going on a journey, who called his servants and entrusted his wealth to them. 15To one he gave five bags of gold, to another two bags, and to another one bag, each according to his ability. Then he went on his journey. 16The man who had received five bags of gold went at once and put his money to work and gained five bags more. 17So also, the one with two bags of gold gained two more(NIV).

Today, we will focus on the faithfulness of the servants who had 5 and 2 talents. We are given talents by God to serve in his kingdom and win souls. What we do with our talents matters a lot to him because those talents are God's investments in you, so he will demand an account of his investment and reward us accordingly. Being faithful requires a faithful character; let us explore more characteristics of being faithful.

· It demands a godly character because you are to show forth the glory, personality of him who has called, and invested in you.

· It requires perseverance, diligence, consistency, and ever being ready to obey the will of the father. You have to get to the point when you can say, Lord, my will is your will.

· It requires love; we have been given a commission to win souls. You have to love them just as Jesus loved us and died for us. If you don’t love the people you have been sent to, you can use your talent to bless them. The servants who traded their talents had to love people to use their talents to serve them and gain profit. In our case, our profit will be soul winning, leading people to God.

· Faithful in the little, in worldly wealth, and another man’s business (Luke 16 v 10–12). This is a topic on its own, but let me explain briefly. Faithful in little things could be taking care of your siblings, praying for one person, giving someone an encouraging word e.t.c

· Faithful in worldly wealth means giving, paying your tithes and offering even in lockdown period via mobile money or other services. Having integrity in financial decisions, Not changing figures, stealing or duping one another, and then paying offering from stolen wealth e.t.c.

· Also, in another man’s business. Are you faithful in handling the business that is not yours? The way you treat something that is not yours will determine if God will bless you with your own. In your place of work, are you involved in eye service or work only when your ‘oga/madam’ is around. Think about these things, may God help us to amend our ways and live faithfully.

Dear friends, God expects us to be faithful in whatever we have been called to do. We cannot do it on our own, so let us pray that the holy spirit will help us, and make us faithful stewards. Amen. We will explore the benefits of faithful in another post.

Thank you very much for reading, have a wonderful week ahead. God bless you, please share with all your contact lists.

God loves you, always remember.
